01A warm welcome
Thank you for visiting Arise International Ministry (“Arise”, “we”, “us”). We are a Christian ministry based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and an online fellowship on Telegram and Zoom. We share the gospel, teach God’s Word, train believers and serve people in need across Ethiopia.
Your trust matters to us. We keep things simple because we collect very little.
02The short version
- We don’t use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies on this website.
- We only receive what you choose to share — for example through the contact form, a call, WhatsApp or email.
- We use it to reply to you, to pray with you and to serve you. Nothing else.
- We never sell your information, and we never ask for passwords, card numbers or PINs.
03What you may share with us
- Contact form: your name, email, phone (optional) and your message.
- Calls, WhatsApp, Telegram and email: your name, number or username, and whatever you tell us — for example when you sign up for a hike, training or conference.
- Prayer requests and testimonies: share only what you’re comfortable with. Please keep other people’s private details out unless they’re happy for you to share them.
- Giving confirmations: if you send us a receipt after a gift, we see what is on it, such as your name, the amount and the reference.
This site doesn’t set cookies. Like any website, our web host may keep basic technical logs (such as browser type and time of visit) to keep the site safe and running. We don’t use them to identify visitors.
04How we use it
- To answer your questions and to pray with you.
- To sign you up for events, trainings and programs, and tell you if anything changes.
- To thank you for a gift and keep good ministry records.
- To invite you to serve or partner, when you’ve asked about it.
- To keep the website safe and working well.
We only send ministry updates if you ask for them, and you can stop them any time.
05Who may see it
Only the people who need to, so we can help you:
- Our ministry team, to reply to you or run an event.
- Everyday tools that carry our messages and site, such as email, WhatsApp, Telegram, Zoom, our web host and Google Fonts (your browser asks Google for the fonts when the page loads).
- Your bank, Telebirr or PayPal, when you give. They handle your gift under their own terms.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it or to protect someone from harm.
Links to Facebook, YouTube, Telegram, WhatsApp and Google Maps take you to their own services, which have their own privacy policies.
06When you give
Our account details are on the Give page, including local bank and Telebirr details and, for friends abroad, PayPal and international bank transfer (SWIFT). Your gift goes straight through your bank, Telebirr or PayPal — never through this website — so we don’t collect your card or account details. We see only what the payment shows the receiver, such as your name and the amount, and we keep gift records for thankfulness, accounting and legal reasons.
07Photos, video and stories
We love sharing stories so supporters can see the gospel at work. We do it with care and respect, especially for children, prisoners and anyone vulnerable. If you’re in a photo and would rather not be, just tell us and we’ll remove it quickly.
08Keeping it safe, and for how long
We keep information only as long as we need it, then delete it or make it anonymous. We protect it by limiting who can see it. Because no online method is perfectly secure, please don’t send ID numbers, passwords or card details by form or WhatsApp.
09Your choices
You’re always in control. Under Ethiopian law, you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you;
- correct anything that’s wrong;
- delete your information or stop using it;
- stop sending you messages.
Just write to Ariseinternationalministry@gmail.com. We may ask a quick question to confirm it’s you, then we’ll reply as soon as we can.
10Young friends
This site is for everyone. If you’re under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before sharing personal details or signing up for an event. If a child has shared information with us by mistake, tell us and we’ll delete it.
11If things change
If we ever update this page (for example, when we add a new tool), we’ll change the “Last updated” date above. We always aim to keep it short and kind.
